Every UniQ truck food trailer starts from your menu: what is cooked on board, how many orders you need to serve per hour and which equipment that requires. Layout, electrical load, water and waste tanks, ventilation, refrigeration and the service window follow from there.
The same business is sold under different names — food truck, catering trailer, food trailer or mobile kitchen. UniQ truck currently builds the towed format as the base product, while vehicle-based food truck projects are assessed as a custom direction.
Food trailer or food truck?
Both formats work. Three practical differences are worth weighing before the project starts.
Towing vehicle and mobility
A trailer needs a separate vehicle with a tow bar and sufficient towing capacity, but once it is parked at the pitch the vehicle stays free for other use. A van-based food truck moves as one unit — convenient when you relocate often, though the vehicle is parked with the kitchen all day.
Service and repairs
On a trailer the mechanical part is the chassis, axle and brakes, which any trailer workshop can service while the kitchen stays untouched. On a food truck, engine work usually takes the kitchen out of operation at the same time.
Investment structure
A trailer is bought separately from the vehicle, so you can replace one without the other. A food truck is a single asset whose value also depends on the condition and mileage of the vehicle.
The food trailer base starts from €35,000 excl. VAT and covers the layout project, chassis, body, exterior and initial electrical installation. Vehicle-based food trucks are quoted individually. Professional equipment, branding, Smart solutions and solar are quoted separately per project.
